Let Him Lead, Watch Him Multiply

This morning, the Holy Spirit gave me a verse that spoke straight into my heart:

“Jesus called out to them, ‘Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!’” — Matthew 4:19 (NLT)

When I read this today, I didn’t just hear it as a call to bring others to Jesus. Instead, the Spirit reminded me: it starts with me following Him. My job isn’t to force people into faith — my job is to follow His voice, follow His leading, and let Him take care of the rest.

Looking back on my business journey — almost five years now — I can see how true this is. The way God has moved through social media, through connections, through timing… it’s nothing short of amazing. The right people always seem to show up at the right moment. Sometimes they need exactly what I’m offering, and other times, they end up pouring into me in ways I didn’t even expect. It’s not just a one-way “fishing trip.” It’s multiplication. It’s God’s timing.

This verse feels like confirmation: I don’t have to strive, chase, or manipulate outcomes. My part is to follow Jesus. When I do that, He multiplies everything — opportunities, impact, even relationships.

Maybe you’re in a season where you’ve been trying to make things happen on your own. Can I encourage you today? Step back. Follow Him. Trust His voice. He knows how to bring the right people, the right doors, and the right opportunities at exactly the right time.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Where in your life are you trying to make things happen instead of following God’s lead?

  2. How have you seen God multiply your efforts when you simply trusted Him?

  3. What is one area you can surrender to His direction today?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for calling me to follow You first. Help me to rest in Your leading and trust that You’ll bring the right people and opportunities in Your timing. Teach me to lay down striving and walk step by step with Your Spirit. Amen.
